The Secret Garden, Huwon The secret garden was built by King Taejong and was a place for the royal family to come and enjoy some peace and quiet. They kept the entire garden as natural as possible, letting it grow freely and pruning it with human hands as little as possible.  It’s a popular place to visit during the fall as autumn leaves create a magical atmosphere with the little ponds and pavilions. Some of the favorite pavilions are Buyongjeong, Buyongji, and Yeonghwadang.
